Should you pray to Mary?
Many Catholics are taught to pray to the Virgin Mary. We learn the "Hail Mary" and it's part of the Rosary.
You need to ask yourself this: Who's idea was it to pray to Mary or to "Hail Mary". God's word is in the Bible and Jesus tells us that "..no one comes to the Father if not through me." (John 14:6). Nowhere in the Bible does it say to pray to Mary, and especially not to Hail her.
Mary was amazing and she deserves our thanks and respect. She was born without sin. She gave birth and raised our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was chosen by God. All good, righteous, and amazing things that we should be grateful for. However, God also chose Moses and Noah, and Jesus chose his disciples, yet we do not pray to them.
Christians need to worry less about the separation of Church & State and worry more about the separation of Church and God.
The will of God and Jesus is revealed to us through the Bible and is righteous. The will of man, even if they are a Pope or Priest is pagan. Don't confuse the two as God certainly will not when you meet him.
Jesus loved his mother but he never bowed down to her, prayed to her, or hailed her and neither should you. When you pray to Mary, or any other idol, it cheapens what Jesus is.
If Jesus Christ is truly your Lord and savior, then you have already been saved and there's no reason to worship anyone but Him.
